Design
The word Design covers a multitude of processes. With my background in traditional Art, I tend to think of all Design as a "blank canvas". However, I do not think that every new feature, system or element should be approached as if the "sky were the limit". In my experience there are generally factors such as time, technology and other dependencies, that adjust the boundaries of the "box" that you can pull ideas from. That challenge specifically is one of the main functions that I really love about Design. The images above are pulled from the initial Design document that I conceptualized, created and implemented for the Lair customization system for a PS3 title "Warriors Lair". The 2pp ".pdf" below, is an excerpt from the original "Carmageddon" GDD detailing my wire-frame/flow and screen mock-ups from the front end through into customization.
